Leah Simmons

I started playing volleyball in 5th or 6th grade for fun but basketball was always my love. When I was introduced to club volleyball at the age of 16 I became obsessed!  In high school I played at Abington Senior High school where I was coached by the infamous Jea Lee and continued my volleyball career playing Division I at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. During my time at Canisius I surpassed 1000 kills, was selected for the All- Conference First team 2x, named the Preseason Player of the Year, named the Canisius Female Athlete of the year and selected to be on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference 40th anniversary team.

I started coaching for TNT in 2020 when I returned from school and have been fortunate enough to be a part of the family ever since. I also am the JV head coach for Gwynedd Mercy Academy Highschool.

When coaching, I encourage my players to step outside of their comfort zone and challenge themselves to be their absolute best.

One fun fact about me is that I taught myself how to longboard during quarantine.
