Craig T Brown

Coach Craig was a multi-sport athlete throughout his High School years, but really excelled at the sport of Baseball where he was an All-State Pitcher/Catcher in the state of Texas. After High School, Craig was invited to play for the Minor League Austin Bats out of Austin, Tx. Here he played 2 years until a back injury cut his career short…that, and not being able to hit a Curveball to save his life ;)

In his early 20’s Sand Volleyball was introduced to him by a former Female collage player. And, from that point forward, Volleyball became Craig’s passion for the next 25 years.

Honing his skills over the next few years, Craig found himself in San Diego, Ca where he played 6yrs in the California CBVA (California Beach Volleyball Association). During this time, he progressed to be AAA Rated Player Player and competed in multiple AVP Professional Tournaments. He was lucky enough to share the Sand with such legends as Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklus.

With the birth of his Daughter, Zoe Emerson Brown, Craig realized it was now time to throw himself into the indoor game. Never one to ‘tip-toe’ into any endeavor he chose to pursue, Craig jumped in with both feet.

Since then, Craig has coached 13-15U Girls Volleyball for some of the Top Volleyball Clubs in the nation, including Houston Juniors Volleyball and Absolute Volleyball Academy in Houston, Tx. He also has trained Jr Sand Players for over 8 years both as individuals, teams and groups.

Craig relocated himself to the Philadelphia area just 3yrs ago Coaching 2 very successful, over-achieving Teams for East Coast Power Volleyball’s KOP location. His self analysis as being a successful Coach is often driven by how well his Girls grow and at what level they are able to achieve after their time with him. This is why one of his proudest moments of his coaching career was recently watching 9 of the 11 girls on his 14-3’s Team make either their Varsity or Junior Varsity High School Teams the following year as Freshman.

It’s in 2023 that Coach Craig finds himself extremely excited to be a part of the TNT Family as both a Director and 14-1’s Head Coach.

In just 3yrs, Craig has become a well sought after Private Lessons Coach with girls across the Philadelphia, Delaware and New Jersey Area. His dedication to “his girls” is more than just an hour in the Gym. Always available to assist both Parents as well as Players in navigating the Wide, Wide Wonderful World of Club and School Volleyball.

Craig’s Coaching Philosophy is based heavily on proper form and technique. With a background in Sociology and Psychology, Craig that building a high Volleyball IQ is vital in the development of a player at any age.

Craig is also a very big believer in never underestimating any players ability to play the game of Volleyball.
“No athlete should ever be pre-judged by size, height or shape. An Athletes actions, results and passion determine the success of any endeavor.”

Craig is a Certified Member of USA Volleyball, AAU Volleyball, AVP and the American Volleyball Coaches Association. He is also a certified IFPA Plyometric and Jump Trainer.
